When the Commonwealth Games returns to Glasgow later this year, some of our medal winning bowlers from previous Games will be joined by a new generation of Scottish bowlers aiming to become national heroes. Our vision is about far more than just medals. Our 800 bowls clubs are at the heart of communities in cities, towns and villages throughout Scotland. With over 48,000 members, we are the ultimate sport for all whatever your age, gender, or ability. We know that bowls plays an important role in the lives of our members and that we can make a positive impact on the physical and mental health of the nation.Joining our Board means playing your own vital part in this story. You will be joining a tightknit team that works together to achieve success and who know that the skills and experience you can bring to the table will help us to get where we want to go.We are seeking 3 to 4 committed individuals to join and strengthen our Board of Directors. We are particularly keen to add these skills to our Board:- Income generation (e.g. sponsorship, fundraising)- Marketing, branding and communications- Digital transformation to support internal operations and external engagement and membership services- LegalWe don鈥檛 have an image of the perfect Board member and welcome interest from anyone who believes they could be an asset to our organisation. We expect to add a mixture of bowlers and non-bowlers to the Board. Bowls Scotland is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive organisation that reflects the clubs and communities we serve.
