Our Development Team is a key part of this strategy in engaging with our members and new audiences, making hockey more visible, relevant and accessible to all.The Social Impact Officer will provide a dynamic and effective approach to supporting all social impact related activity linked to the EuroHockey and EuroHockey ID Championships in the summer of 2027. A fundamental part of the role will involve the facilitation of entry level hockey sessions in different locations around the country – either through training delivery partners or through direct delivery to our target audiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and evaluating social impact initiatives linked to the tournament, working to ensure the event leaves a tangible, positive legacy in line with our Diversity Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP).Due to the nature of this work, this post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.Key Tasks and Responsibilities Support the delivery of social impact and community outreach initiatives aligned with the EuroHockey Championships Social Impact Plan and the England Hockey DIAP, focusing on young people from low-income and / or ethnically diverse communities and people with disabilities / long term health conditions.Provide training to delivery partners in identified nationwide locations, enabling and equipping them to deliver entry level hockey sessions to their network of young people / people with disabilities or long-term health conditionsLead delivery of entry level hockey sessions to groups of young people and / or people with disabilities or long-term health conditionsCollaborate with local partners, schools, community groups and clubs to promote participation in hockey among underrepresented groups.Support the implementation of a monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) framework, which incorporates the collection of Youth Voice, to thoroughly capture, report, and evaluate the social impact of all programmes and activities, ensuring measurable outcomes.Support the development of advocacy messaging to embed social impact values into all Event communications and celebrate impact success stories.Attend events where applicable including weekend work and public holidays.Support the wider event delivery team in other duties as requested by line manager.Undertake administrative duties, including minute taking, updating action trackers and circulating meeting invites and diaries for event related activity.
