Our performance programme supports international and national-level athletes to achieve success whilst studying at UEL.Physiotherapy Opportunities – Expressions of InterestEast London Sport is seeking expressions of interest from committed and enthusiastic physiotherapists interested in joining our dynamic medical and performance support team.We are open to hearing from clinicians seeking part-time or full-time opportunities, with flexibility available depending on experience, availability, and the needs of the programme.Successful candidates will contribute to physiotherapy support, treatment, rehabilitation and injury prevention across our high-performance and university sport programmes, including support for:• East London High Performance Programme (HPP)• East London Talent Pathway Athletes (Flete)• Sport England Talented Pathway Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS• East London Phoenix Basketball Franchise• University sport and competition environments where requiredThis role may involve a combination of clinic-based work, athlete rehabilitation, screening and profiling, multidisciplinary collaboration, and game side or event medical cover. Some evening and weekend commitments may be required throughout the year.You will work alongside professional, aspiring professional, TASS and university athletes within an integrated support team including physiotherapists, osteopaths and strength and conditioning coaches.Main Responsibilities• Manage the treatment and rehabilitation of injured athletes• Work closely with coaches and support staff to maintain and restore athlete fitness and performance• Conduct athlete screening and profiling to support injury prevention and prehabilitation strategies• Provide physiotherapy support and treatment to TASS-affiliated and performance athletes• Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records and reporting requirements• Support the provision of medical cover for fixtures, competitions and training environments where appropriate• Liaise professionally with athletes, coaches, parents and multidisciplinary staff within professional confidentiality guidelines• Promote anti-doping awareness and best practice in line with university expectations• Contribute to athlete medical updates and multidisciplinary team meetings• Provide physiotherapy guidance and support across East London Sport performance programmesEssential Requirements• BSc or MSc (Pre-Registration) degree in Physiotherapy• HCPC registration or eligibility for registration• Membership or eligibility for membership with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)• First Aid and CPR certification• Minimum three years post-graduate physiotherapy experience, including relevant sports physiotherapy experienceDesirable Experience• Postgraduate qualifications in Sports Therapy, Sports Medicine or Rehabilitation• Additional qualifications or experience in:o Manual therapyo Kinesiology tapingo Dry needling or acupunctureo Strength and conditioning• Experience working with ³ÉÈËÿÈÕ´óÈü or within a multidisciplinary sporting environmentWe are looking for motivated, adaptable and athlete-centred practitioners who are passionate about supporting performance sport and developing within an elite sporting environment.
