Our pioneering and athlete-centred approach supports students to reach their full potential both academically and with³ÉÈËÿÈÕ´óÈü.East London Sport operates a growing High Performance Programme and is a TASS Dual Career Accredited site, supporting national and international-level athletes through a multidisciplinary performance environment.Nutritionist Opportunity – Expressions of InterestEast London Sport is seeking expressions of interest from qualified Nutritionists and Sports Nutrition Practitioners interested in joining our performance support team on an hourly-paid contractor basis.This opportunity is ideal for practitioners seeking flexible consultancy work supporting student-athletes and high-performance sport programmes.The successful practitioner will provide evidence-based nutritional support to athletes across East London Sport programmes, helping to optimise performance, recovery, health and long-term athlete development.Support may include:• One-to-one athlete consultations• Nutritional assessments and planning• Provide practical based/cooking workshops• Performance and recovery nutrition education and strategies• Body composition and fuelling guidance where appropriate• Group workshops and educational sessions• Collaborative work within a multidisciplinary performance teamYou will work alongside coaches and practitioners including physiotherapists, osteopaths and strength and conditioning staff to deliver athlete-centred support within a high-performance environment.Essential Requirements• Degree qualification in Nutrition, Sports Nutrition or related field• Relevant professional registration or accreditation where applicable (e.g. SENr, AfN, BDA Sport & Exercise Nutrition Register or equivalent)• Practitioner’ on the SENr (Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register); and/or registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Dietitian and able to demonstrate at least one year’s experience (post HCPC-registration) delivering sports nutrition• Experience providing nutrition support with³ÉÈËÿÈÕ´óÈü, exercise or performance environments• Strong communication and athlete engagement skills• Ability to work independently and collaborativelyDesirable Experience• Experience supporting elite, university or developing athletes• Experience delivering workshops and education sessions• Knowledge of performance sport environments and athlete support systems• Experience working within multidisciplinary sport science or medical teamsWe are looking for passionate and professional practitioners who are committed to supporting athlete wellbeing and performance within an inclusive and ambitious sporting environment.
